Honours and grants2007 Grant from RANNÍS (the Icelandic Centre for Research) for the project: "Humanoid agents in social game environments. Co-applicant, the project amanger is Hannes Högni Vilhjálmsson, Reykjavik University. Duration: 2 years, grant: 9,9 m.kr.
2005 Grant from RANNÍS for the project: “Towards the Maturation of IT Usability Evaluation”. Co-applicant with Ebba Þóra Hvannberg at the University of Iceland.
2004 A pre-project grant from RANNÍS for the project: “Definition of measurements for comparison of software processes”.

ServicesProfessional memberships
A member of a new COST-network of excellence, called Twintide (IC0904) that the European Science Foundation (ESF) has accepted under the COST framework. The network of excellence included experts from various European countries. The COST-IC0904 action will start in November 2009 and will be running for four years.
A chair for the IT women society in Iceland since May 2009. The goal of the society is two strenghten the relations of women in the IT sector and to inspire more young women to join the profession. I have been in the board of the society since 2006.
The representative for Iceland in the IFIP (International Federation on Iformation Processing) Technical Committee 13 on Human-Computer Interaction since April 2008.
A member of a network of excellence, called MAUSE (COST 294) that the European Science Foundation (ESF) has accepted under the COST framework. The network of excellence includes experts from nineteen European countries.
