One of my current research topics is to see how Icelandic employers responded to the economic crisis that started in 2008, i.e. how does a flexible labor market respond when a crisis hits and how do they return to normal operations. I am also developing further topics from my dissertation, where I studied wages within the public sector in Iceland and applied the theory of unions to wage data to determine the efficiency of collective bargaining. Furthermore, I have done a few experiments in behavioral economics.
