Content
The aim of the course Cross-Cultural Communication is to develop knowledge and skills that will enable you to interact successfully with people from different cultures. The course is designed to increase your competencies in recognizing and articulating your own cultural background and to enable you to develop your abilities to identify and take advantage of cultural diversity, including different values, priorities, and insights held by members within multicultural and global work environments. This course assists you in implementing strategies for various intercultural and cross-cultural challenges, such as, culture shock, cross-cultural adaptation, reading non-verbal communications and cues and to provide knowledge that can prevent cross cultural misunderstandings. This course bridges the gaps between theorizing and the many complex practical issues faced by managers and workers in today´s organizations around the globe. Through use of lectures, cases, simulations, readings, films and in-depth discussion, this course equips you with abilities to solve problems and minimize unnecessary conflict.
