Starfsferill

1998-2004 Ýmsar stjórnunarstöður hjá ANZA hf (nú hluti af Símanum): staðgengill framkvæmdastjóra, sviðsstjóri sölu- og markaðssviðs, viðskiptastjóri

ANZA sérhæfir sig í rekstri og hýsingu tölvukerfa. Í störfum mínum fékk ég tækifæri til að samnýta stjórnunarhæfileika og tækniþekkingu. Bar ábyrgð á gerð og uppfyllingu fjölda langtímasamninga við lykilviðskiptavini fyrirtækisins. Stýrði ýmsum sviðum fyrirtækisins og allt að 30 starfsmönnum. Sem hluti af stjórnendateymi fyrirtækisins, svo og sem stjórnarmaður, tók ég virkan þátt í stefnumótun fyrirtækisins. Var einn af 4 upprunalegum hluthöfum félagsins. Leiddi sókn ANZA inn á erlenda markaði.
 
1994-1998 Meðal stofnenda Margmiðlunar (nú 365). Ýmis störf við þróun og markaðssetningu lausna og verkefnastjórnun.

Margmiðlun var brautryðjandi í Internetvæðingu á Íslandi. Störf mín voru margvísleg en snérust einkum um markaðssetningu á lausnum fyrirtækisins erlendis. Var einn af upprunalegum hluthöfum félagsins.
 
1990-1998 Sjálfstætt starfandi ráðgjafi á upplýsingatæknisviði.

Starfaði m.a. fyrir Rafhönnun, VSÓ, Línuhönnun, Granda, Bændasamtök Íslands, Námsgagnastofnun, Batteríið, Garðabæ. Stofnaði einkahlutafélagið Stak ehf. ásamt 2 öðrum í tengslum við ráðgjafastörfin.
 
1985-1990 Verkefnastjóri og forritari hjá Asymetrix Corporation (nú SumTotal), Bellevue, WA, USA

Fékk einstakt tækifæri til að taka þátt í stofnun og uppbyggingu þessa fyrirtækis undir stjórn Paul Allen, einn af stofnendum Microsoft. Vann sem hluti af teymi við þróun á fyrstu vöru fyrirtækisins. Tók einnig þátt í viðamikilli stefnumótunarvinnu um framtíðaráform.

Megináhersla í upphafi námsins var stýritækni, en fljótlega heillaðist ég af upprennandi sviði gervigreindar og snéri mér að því.

Viðurkenningar og styrkir

2013 Rannsóknarstyrkur úr FP7 Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP) áætlun ES fyrir verkefnið "Business Model Innovation in Creative Sectors". Leiðtogi verkefnisins, aðrir þátttakendur: Nowy Sacz Business School, Pólland og 3 fyrirtæki á Íslandi, í Danmörku og í Póllandi.

2012 Rannsóknarstyrkur úr Leonardo da Vinci – Transfer of Innovation áætlun ES fyrir verkefni um nýsköpun byggða á rafrænum viðskiptaháttum. Þátttakandi ásamt International University College (Búlaría), Vilniaus dizaino kolegija (Litháen) og þremur þátttakendum úr atvinnulífinu.

2010 Rannsóknarstyrkur úr FP7 Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP) áætlun ES fyrir verkefnið "Transforming SMEs into Successful Experience Stagers". Leiðtogi verkefnis, aðrir þátttakendur eru Nottingham University og þrjú fyrirtæki.

2010 Rannsóknarstyrkur frá Rannís fyrir verkefnið "The Relationship between Aesthetic Design and Innovation Performance". Með Rögnvaldi Sæmundssyni, Háskólanum í Reykjavík og Gerda Gemser, Delft University of Technology.

2005 Styrkur til tveggja ára úr Rannsóknasjóði Rannís vegna doktorsverkefnis.
