1999-2002: Member of a committee of experts which edited the Icelandic standard IST 15 Foundation Design and adapted it to the European standard ENV 1997:1.  The committee also wrote the Icelandic National Application Documents for Eurocode 7; Part 1 (“Geotechnical design, general rules”) and for Eurocode 8; Part 5 (“Design provisions for earthquake resistance of structures; Foundations, retaining structures and geotechnical aspects”) which became valid July 1st, 2002.
