Eiríkur Elís Thorláksson is an associate professor at the Reykjavík University Law faculty wth expertise in Procedural Law, Bankruptcy Law, Private International Law, Commercial Law, Arbitration Law and Public Procurement Law. Cand. jur. from the Faculty of Law, University of Iceland in 2001 and earned his masters degree (LL.M) from King´s College London in 2008.
Eiríkur Elís is a Supreme Court Attorney in Iceland and has litigated over hundred cases before Icelandic Courts. He has been appointed a court specialist in numerous court cases and served as an expert witness in the UK and Sweden.
He has served as a board member in various companies and associations, among others Stoðir hf. (chairman 2008-2013), Tryggingamiðstöðin hf. and Sailmon Tails ehf. He is a board member of the Nordic Arbitration Center. Manager and later board member of Codex Publishing (chairman 2005-2007). Board member of Lögrétta Law Journal.
